We are looking for a qualified person to fill the position of Production Manager / Agronomist within our group.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following broad areas:
* Designing of suitable fertilizer/ fertigation programs.
* Formulation of effective spray programs.
* In charge of field trials.
* Implementation and adherence to good agronomic practices.
* Plan correct irrigation systems and procedures
The candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* University degree/Post graduate degree in either of the following: Agriculture, Soil Science, Agronomy, Plant Nutrition
* Be able interpret and evaluate results from leaf, soil and water analyses in order to formulate recommendations relevant to farm conditions.
* Must be familiar with market trends as it concerns inputs such as fertilizers, chemicals.
* Possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven competency in designing and implementing field trials.
* At least 6 years working experience at a senior management level in similar position
* Possess initiative and self-drive to be able to work under minimum supervision and be result-oriented.
